BASIC FUNCTION:
Gather information; communicate with supervisors and persons outside the organization; schedule work and activities; establish and maintain relationships.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Analyze technical data, designs, or preliminary specifications; bid electrical or construction projects; compute cost estimates of electrical or construction projects; confer with vendors and sub-contractors; convert design specifications to cost estimates; estimate costs of materials, labor, production, time, installation and repair; identify suppliers; interpret schematics and blueprint specifications; prepare periodic reports, understand technical manuals; use computers and other electronic equipment; use appropriate software; use statistical cost estimation methods.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma required.
Associates degree or higher in electrical, construction management and/or similar field(s) preferred but not required.
Should have some emphasis on business administration, operations management, and business / commerce.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2-4 years in Electrical Estimating with increasing responsibilities.
Should have knowledge or competencies in building and construction; design; mathematics; language; and public safety and security.
Skills should include reading comprehension; critical thinking; coordination and instructing.
Abilities should include oral expression and comprehension; problem solving; reasoning; clarity and recognition of speech, and written comprehension.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
