GENERAL SUMMARYThis position provides support to all managers & supervisors by making sure the company is following state & federal regulations regarding safety & environmental issues, including incident investigations.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIESResponsible for site compliance with OSHA, EPA Regulations, & ISO 14001 & 45001Creates/revises/implements OSHA & EPA training, tracks safety trainingCreates/revises/implements & monitors safety/environmental policiesCompiles & disseminates accident trends by department to supervisors/managersCommunicates to the plant global incidents and Corporate policy deploymentManages Workers Compensation claimsCoordinates Safety Committee activities, and monthly safety audits, track supervisor monthly auditsDirects supervisors and management in incident/accident investigations.
Oversee security operationsCommunicates frequently with internal contacts and occasionally with external contacts on various issuesResponsible for administration and tracking of all site safety and EHS training initiativesResponsible for EHS MMS Pillar successPerforms other duties as necessary The above typical duties are characteristic of this job and demonstrate a level of difficulty and are not intended to list or limit the duties that may be required or assigned to an employee in this classification.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree (Required)or Advanced (Preferred) in a related discipline and generally five plus years' experience in related fieldProfessional CertificationspreferredHave experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDIntermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
