CNC Machinist (1st Shift)

Position OverviewSet up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instrumentsIncludes precisioninstrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instrumentsMay also fabricate and modifyparts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics,mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Essential Job FunctionsoCalculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
oMachine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, orgrinders.
oSet up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machiningoperations.
oAlign and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
oMeasure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance tospecifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
oMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
oMaintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
oStudy sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods orsequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
oOperate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
oCheck work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled.
oProgram computers or electronic instruments, such as numerically controlled machine tools.
oDiagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
oConfer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
oLay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.
oFit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
oSet up or operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, or cutting equipment.
oDispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmentalregulations.
oSeparate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
oEvaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency oradaptability.
oDismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects andreplace defective parts where needed.
oInstall repaired parts into equipment or install new equipment.
Required QualificationoHigh School Diploma or equivalentDesirable QualificationsoTechnical School Certificate in machiningoMinimum 1 year of experienceoExperience operating Hass machinesoExperience working in a custom machine shop Recommended Skills Assembly And Installation Blueprinting Business Efficiency Calculations Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
